We're seeking an exceptional Brand Engineer to build the tooling that makes AI-native brand production actually work at scale. You might be a full-stack product engineer, or you might be a design engineer - here you’ll be someone who builds real infrastructure specifically in service of brand and creative output, working alongside brand designers who own taste and direction.

Why Lovable? Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we’re just getting started. We’re building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world. Lovable is one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognized on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.

What we're looking for:

  • Solid engineering fundamentals - you have a track record of building, shipping, and maintaining real full-stack software.
  • Genuine interest in AI generation systems (image/video models, fine-tuning, prompt pipelines) as a technical problem, not just as a user.
  • Experience translating scrappy explorations into production-ready systems.
  • Some design sensibility is a strong plus - you don't need to be a designer, but you should be able to tell when output is off-brand without needing it spelled out.
  • Comfortable building for a function with no internal precedent - you'll be making calls with no playbook to lean on.
  • You’ll push the boundaries of what's possible with generative pipelines the way our Design Engineers push the boundaries of the web.

What you'll do:

  • Build and own the systems that let AI-native brand production run at scale, reliably.
  • Build pipelines connecting image/video generation APIs, internal tooling, and the systems brand and marketing already use (Lovable, Design tools, CMS, the marketing site, Slack).
  • Build internal apps for the brand team - plausibly on Lovable itself, which is both a good dogfooding story and just the fastest way to do it.
  • Own reliability and versioning for the AI-generation system so brand output doesn't silently drift in quality or style over time.
  • Work closely with a Brand Designer who owns taste and direction - you're building the system that lets their judgment scale, not just executing tickets.
  • Constantly evaluate new models, APIs, and generation tooling as the landscape moves, and rebuild pipelines when something better comes along.

Our tech stack:

  • Frontend: React, Tailwind
  • Backend: Golang and Rust
  • Cloud: Cloudflare, GCP, AWS, many LLM and generation providers
  • DevOps & Tooling: GitHub Actions, Grafana, OTEL, infra-as-code (Terraform)

And always on the lookout for what's next - especially in image/video generation APIs and pipelines. You’ll build custom tools in chorus with Lovable, while also contributing to Lovable upstream.

How to prepare for a job interview at Lovable

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Lovable uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
