Senior Finance Executive (12-Month Maternity Cover)

The Lounge team is growing! We are looking for a Senior Finance Executive to join our growing business on a 12‑month maternity cover contract, starting mid‑July 2026. Since 2015, Lounge has grown from an eCommerce underwear brand designed to bless women with Comfort Made Sexy, into an Omnichannel modern fashion house inspired to make a woman feel empowered, beautiful, sexy, and comfortable in one’s skin. During this growth, our Brand has built out multiple departments that underpin all that Lounge stands for and endeavours to be.

As a Senior Finance Executive, you will play an important role within the Finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting while providing insights that help the business understand and manage its financial performance. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to take ownership, develop their career, and make an impact in a fast-growing team. What you will do at Lounge:

• Support the Finance Director and CFO in delivering the monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the production of year‑end accounts and the wider audit process.
• Support the budgeting and cash flow forecasting process.
• Perform and take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring key accounts are fully understood and controlled.
• Perform analysis of balances in accounts to identify inconsistencies and investigate variances.
• Prepare accruals and prepayments and the posting of relevant journals.
• Deliver financial analysis and ad‑hoc reports that support the management of the business.
• Support the production and filing of VAT returns and ensure relevant financial information is accurate.
• Manage day‑to‑day tax compliance (UK and overseas).
• Analysis of GL accounts for discrepancies and preparation of correction journals where required.
• Reviewing and processing payments to suppliers.
• Liaise with all departments to solve problems and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions across the business.
• Support and guide the wider Lounge team with finance‑related queries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.

We would love it if you:

• Are ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or part‑qualified, or approaching qualification with one of these professional bodies.
• Are able to manage and analyse large amounts of data comfortably.
• Have experience working within a finance function.
• Retail/E‑Commerce experience is preferred but not essential.
• Are passionate about Lounge and are looking to join a team full of passionate and driven individuals.
• Are a team player with strong communicative skills.
• Have degree level education in a relevant field.
• Have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Have experience and considerable knowledge with NetSuite; however, this is not essential.
• Have some experience of international tax (VAT/sales taxes).
