Role Overview
We’re hiring a full‑time General Manager to lead Fosforo Lounge, a vibrant local café bar. As GM you’ll own all operations, build and develop a people‑focused team, and ensure guests always leave happy. You will be the heart of the community, the face of the brand, and the owner‑level manager of the lounge.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of Fosforo Lounge – lead all shifts and ensure staff, standards and service excellence.
- Build, recruit and develop a strong team with clear development plans so people know how to grow.
- Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the Head Chef on food quality, wait times, stock, NSF standards and cross‑team training.
- Know your numbers inside out – GP, labour, NPS, stock counts – and use them to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead weekly HOD meetings and keep everyone aligned, motivated, pulling in the same direction across all 14 shifts.
- Put Fosforo Lounge at the heart of the local community through an active social media presence, community events and genuine relationships with guests and neighbours.
- Schedule fair rotas at least two weeks in advance and lead shift reporting – performance, customer issues and safety.
