You’ll lead a team of excellent people who run Lounges, with high standards that match ours. Your approach will be unique to you, and you’ll be part of a dedicated, supportive team working from our flexible all-day menu to deliver food that makes people’s day.
Your focus will be to ensure each dish is prepared to spec in a clean and safe kitchen, with all prep and PAR completed for each shift. You’ll help every customer leave happy, thanks to great food.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dishes to specification in a clean, safe kitchen.
- Complete all prep and PAR (production and rotation) for each shift.
- Lead from the front within a high-performing team and deliver excellent kitchen and food standards.
- Work with fresh ingredients and manage food presentation and consistency.
- Report on KPIs and make decisions considering labour, stock, and food safety requirements.
- Report on metrics such as GP, labour/throughput, and food preparation.
- Deliver training and recruitment for kitchen teams including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs.
What you\’ll bring
- You are an existing Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef looking for your first Head Chef role.
- Experience with fresh ingredients and strong chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, hygiene).
- A work ethic of rolling up your sleeves, leading from the front, and delivering high kitchen and food standards as part of a team.
- Familiarity with managing through clear KPIs and decisions on labour, stock, and safety requirements.
- Experience in environments where you report on metrics including GP, labour, and food preparation.
- Demonstrated success in training and recruiting kitchen teams (Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs).
