Overview

Lead from the front during busy shifts, helping the team deliver great service and keep everything running smoothly.

Support the management team with day‑to‑day operation of the lounge, from opening and closing tasks to maintaining high standards across the floor.

This role is part of the Arboro Lounge, a local café bar and a member of Loungers, proudly named Casual Dining Group of the Year 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, guide, and motivate the team, ensuring everyone knows their role and feels confident during service.
  • Maintain attention to detail, including cleanliness, presentation, food safety, allergens and cash handling processes.
  • Handle customer queries or complaints confidently, aiming to turn a good visit into a great one.
  • Drive sales, manage the bar and pass, and contribute to creating a lounge that the local community loves returning to.
  • Delegate and manage staff shifts, including pass and bar duties, and take ownership of the shift’s operations.

Qualifications & Background

  • Experience in restaurants, bars, cafés or coffee shops as a supervisor, team leader or front‑of‑house team member.
  • Strong leadership with a natural host attitude to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Community‑mindful, knowledgeable about regulars and local dynamics.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of a shift, delegating and dealing with customer queries confidently.
  • Ready to advance into management and take the next step in their hospitality career.
