Responsibilities

  • Lead a variety of shifts (opens, closes, weekends) and conduct pre‑shift briefings, delegating tasks to the team and maintaining motivation throughout.
  • Coach the team through regular feedback, creating a workplace that people genuinely enjoy.
  • Understand rotas, stock, labour, and key performance indicators (NPS, sales, gross profit) and support the General Manager when objectives are not met.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints with confidence and good judgement, while upholding allergen and food safety standards.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new starters, ensuring they are set up for success from day one.
  • Act as a visible, welcoming host on the floor, helping to build the Lounge’s reputation as the go‑to spot in the local community.
