Role Overview
As Head of Housekeeping at Louma, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation that define the guest experience across our estate. Leading the Housekeeping team, you will oversee all accommodation, public areas and hospitality spaces, ensuring every environment reflects the calm, beauty and luxury that Louma is known for. From room preparation and turndown service to team leadership and operational planning, you will ensure every detail contributes to a seamless and memorable guest stay. What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all housekeeping services across guest accommodation, public areas and outdoor hospitality spaces.
- Support the Hotel Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Lead by example, championing Louma’s culture and inspiring the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional standards.
- Oversee cleaning procedures, room preparation, stayover services, turndown service and presentation across the estate.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure luxury presentation standards are consistently achieved.
- Ensure guest rooms are maintained to arrival-ready standards prior to check-in.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping quality control procedures, checklists and service standards.
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly, ensuring all guest spaces remain in excellent condition.
- Manage rotas, schedules and staffing for in-house, contracted and casual housekeeping teams.
- Maintain accurate inventories of housekeeping assets, consumables, guest amenities and equipment.
- Coordinate with external partners including linen suppliers, laundry services, waste collection and specialist cleaning contractors.
- Manage stock levels and ordering of cleaning supplies and housekeeping materials.
- Monitor housekeeping budgets and control departmental costs where appropriate.
- Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with Health & Safety policies, COSHH procedures and operational standards.
- Deliver training and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure safe working practices and consistent service delivery.
- Respond to guest requests, special room preferences and housekeeping-related enquiries professionally.
- Handle guest feedback or service recovery relating to housekeeping services.
- Support other departments when required to ensure seamless hotel operations.
