Pre Construction Director at Loughton Contracts Plc
As a Preconstruction Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the planning and execution of construction projects before they commence. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction. Your strong time management abilities will ensure that all preconstruction activities are completed efficiently and on schedule. Join our team to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects from the ground up.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in preconstruction management, ideally in a flooring background
- Proficiency in callidus quantification software, Microsoft office packages – desired but not required
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of construction processes and project estimation techniques
Overall responsibilities
- Receive a fully comprehensive handover of the project by the Estimator / Salesperson.
- Once received, read through the Master project forms “sales/Estimating” section to ensure the information is completed and check tender information against all construction Issue documents and highlight any variations that may have arisen with the sales team.
- Deal with all client portals, uploading relevant documents including sample forms and respond to any issues/queries that are raised while in Pre-Construction.
- Attend all design meetings as requested with the relevant personnel within the business.
- Agree any outstanding design, such as laying methods/direction, threshold trims, seam locations etc.
- Complete and Issue our Sample/Build Schedule to indicate what we are installing and the thickness of each product including any build ups along with product lead times.
- Place all orders for the floor finish main materials and prepopulate the company “shopping list “ready for handover.
- Deal with/price all variations that occur while in Pre-Construction working with the project QS when new information is received.
- Ensure all internal trackers within the department are kept up to date with all current information daily (Monday.com).
- Complete the “Pre con” section of the MPF and ensure a fully comprehensive handover to the production team.
- Follow the requirements and responsibilities as set out within the weekly Pre con teams’ meetings.
- Manage workload to ensure projects are handed over to operations in a timely manner
The role will be office based 4 days a week with some site visits required in and around London with 1 working day at home per week (WFH will commence after the initial training period)
Please note that there is no car parking on site, the closest free parking is 10 minute walk away, and paid parking is a 5 minute walk. We are also 5 minutes from Debden station.
