Level 3 Lab (Arts) Technician Apprentice, full-time and fixed term for 24 months
We have exciting new apprenticeship schemes in our Laboratory (Arts) technical roles which will rotate across our research/teaching areas within our Arts department. This is a new scheme where you will have the opportunity to support the learning environment for Loughborough University students in Schools and Workshops and to support leading research.
As an apprentice you will complete a programme of training, learn new technical skills and work alongside experienced technical experts. The apprenticeship scheme is in conjunction with Tiro, where you will spend some time at college, (20% of the role) for technical learning, where at the end of the scheme you will gain a Level 3 BTEC qualification.
The apprenticeship roles are a pathway into an exciting career as a technician.
Key Requirements:
- Can demonstrate an interest in becoming a technician or a technical profession
- Can demonstrate an interest in the Arts area through hobbies or part time work while studying.
- Ability to take instruction and work as part of a team.
- Good practical IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e-mail).
- Good written and verbal English skills.
- Good level of numeracy including ability to handle data.
- Can demonstrate a professional and self-motivated approach to learning in the workplace
