What we are looking for:
The Programme Quality and Teaching Partnerships (PQTP) Team is seeking an enthusiastic team player to provide administrative support for international exchange programmes and work placements. The successful candidate will communicate effectively and will enjoy liaising with students, School and Professional Service colleagues, plus partner organisations.
In addition to maintaining accurate records and facilitating Turing Scheme payments to students, the post-holder will undertake a variety of duties to support the work of the PQTP Team, including committee-related administration. The postholder will also provide administrative and operational support for student registration, exams and graduation ceremonies. This will involve working under the direction of the Student Records & Operations Team for all or part of the working week at key times of the year.
Applicants will possess GCSE grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in both Maths and English, together with A Level (or equivalent) education. You should have previous experience of working as part of a team in an administrative role with a student or customer service focus and be able to quickly get to grips with University policies and procedures. Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload are required. Good IT skills, numeracy and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail are also essential.
Candidates should demonstrate how they meet the person specification within the application form itself; CVs will not be considered as part of the shortlisting process.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Claire Thorpe, Placements, Exchanges & Governance Manager.
*Working pattern to be agreed upon appointment (minimum of 3 working days per week). Hybrid working may be available, but the postholder will be expected to spend the majority of their working week on campus. Occasional working outside of normal hours, with notice, e.g. to support open days, exams and welcome events, will be required.
