Our PERAMEDIC project brings together experts in material formulation, deposition methods, hardware development, and clinical translation from across Europe. You will develop toolpaths, hardware, and digital workflows to enable patient-specific, multi-material tablets. Your key responsibilities include: Designing and optimizing microscale toolpaths using our FullControl software Characterizing the performance of MEAM-produced structures—mechanical, electrical, thermal, and geometric Studying the influence of toolpath lines and patterns on part performance Developing and integrating advanced inspection workflows for real-time quality control You will also: Contribute to the development of our open-source FullControl CAD/CAM platform, using Git Program in Python and leverage AI/LLMs for automation and data analysis Modify or construct MEAM hardware to handle challenging materials Implement multi-material or multi-process sequences and embed optimization routines Travel to partner meetings across Europe to coordinate on materials, methods, and clinical needs Key Requirements: Proven experience in designing CAD/CAM workflows or toolpaths for extrusion-based additive manufacturing Experience characterizing printed part performance Programming skills in Python; familiarity with Git and AI/LLMs Experience with challenging feedstocks and multi-material MEAM processes Ability to modify or build custom hardware or motion control systems Excellent communication and teamwork skills; willingness to travel in Europe PhD (or near completion) in engineering or materials, or equivalent industrial experience Why should you apply?
