Job Title: Research and Innovation Support Manager, Loughborough Application Closing Date: Tuesday, 20 October 2026 School of Social Sciences and Humanities Full-time and open-ended Hybrid: A minimum of 3 days in the office per week, with 2 days remote working by agreement with the Head of Operations. Heres more about the role and what were looking for: The School of Social Sciences and Humanities are seeking to appoint a Research & Innovation Support Manager. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the post holder will manage the research and innovation support function within the School, ensuring that all activities are compliant with University policies and procedures. Working closely with the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation (ADRI), senior colleagues and key business partners, they will manage and oversee key activities that support, develop and deliver the Schools Research and Innovation Strategy and provide extensive support to senior colleagues, including Unit of Assessment Leads and Research and Innovation Directors, in relation to the REF exercise. About the Departments The School of Social Sciences and Humanities is a diverse and inclusive School delivering excellence in learning and teaching, research, and enterprise across the Social Sciences and Humanities. Inter-disciplinarity and international encounters are fostered across six departments: Communication and Media; Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy; English; Geography and Environment; International Relations, Politics and History; and Law. About You You should have a strong working knowledge of the Research Excellent Framework (REF). You should be able to manage a variety of ongoing projects, to proactively prioritise tasks and strategically plan-ahead for the long-term.
