The successful candidate will join the Learning and Teaching Discipline Group in Biomechanics and Motor Control based within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. The role will involve teaching Biomechanics and Motor Control content across the sport programmes, primarily to undergraduate students in Sport and Exercise Science, and Sport Science, Coaching and Physical Education, and postgraduate students in Sport Biomechanics, Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health. Most of the work will consist of on‑site teaching duties, with the opportunity for some hybrid working to undertake content planning and marking.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across Biomechanics and Motor Control.
- Plan, deliver and assess lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and project supervision.
- Develop course and module content at both module and programme levels.
- Maintain and improve teaching quality using innovative methodologies.
- Engage with students to support their learning and progress.
Qualifications and experience:
- Excellent teaching record at universities and postgraduate level.
- Experience in teaching biomechanics and motor control across different higher‑education settings.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Evidence of innovative teaching practices.
- Professional teaching accreditation or pathway to accreditation.
- Subject knowledge in biomechanics and motor control.
