We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Chef to join Fifty The Street Restaurant, a busy 120-seat hotel restaurant known for its high-quality food and welcoming atmosphere. As Lead Chef, you will lead the culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Head Chef in menu development and design.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and train all team members on hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Cater for diverse dietary requirements.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations.
  • Support the Head Chef in managing food cost percentages and kitchen budgets.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Train and develop the kitchen team.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide coaching.
  • Monitor stock usage and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.

About You: We are looking for someone with excellent culinary skills and creativity, and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. You will have significant experience as a Sous Chef within a hotel or high street restaurant, along with strong leadership skills and a good understanding of food cost control and kitchen operations.
