Full Time, Open ended. Join us and be part of a vibrant community at Loughborough University. Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will join a team of joiners working together on our Loughborough Campus completing reactive and planned maintenance tasks, alongside Plumbers and Electricians. You would be expected to carry out joinery and trades work for students, staff members and tenants across the campus. You will receive work via our online work allocation tool Archibus and provide updates to jobs using an iPad. You would be expected to manage your own workload independently, with support from your line manager. You will complete machining and preparation of wood in connection with maintenance work and/or alterations and improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Experience of site and shop work
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrate ability to understand Drawings / schematic drawings
- Education to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English
- NVQ level 2 diploma or equivalent in Carpentry / Joinery site work & bench work
- Be available to participate in the On Call Rota which runs evening and weekends throughout the year
