This is a full-time, open-ended hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week on site, with additional on-site attendance during induction and as needed.
About the Role
Are you passionate about leveraging technology to transform HR processes and enhance employee experience? We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated HR Systems Officer to join our HR Systems & Data Team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide expert user support for our HR technology platforms, ensuring seamless system operation, robust data integrity, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in delivering a high quality, progressive, and inclusive HR systems experience across the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain iTrent and Dashboard as a primary system administrator, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with GDPR and university policies.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Provide technical support to HR system users, resolving issues efficiently and effectively whilst acting as the first point of contact for system queries and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain user guides, system documentation, and other user related resources to support ongoing knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with IT Services on system upgrades, patches, and implementations, supporting HR projects by delivering system enhancements and configuration changes.
- Stay current with system updates, new features, and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
About You
You will bring proven experience working with IT systems in a professional environment, ideally HR or people management systems, alongside experience working in a large, complex organisation. You'll have a strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills are essential, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. You will demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work, and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively. A working knowledge of iTrent would be a distinct advantage although full training will be given to the successful candidate.
