Job Title: Lecturer – Industrial Design

Role overview and requirements:

The School of Design and Creative Arts seeks a new colleague to undertake research, teaching, and enterprise in Industrial Design, focusing on human-centered/inclusive design, interaction, or experience design, with a rich history of interdisciplinary work.

We are interested in candidates who can contribute across our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BA Design, BA Industrial Design, BSc Product Design, MSc Integrated Industrial Design, and MA/MSc User Experience Design.

Key requirements include:

  • Being a respectful, collegiate colleague capable of working across disciplines in a vibrant research community.
  • Having a developed or developing research background in a relevant domain to contribute to our research excellence.
  • Having teaching experience, ideally at higher education level.
  • Ability to teach and inspire students across various design modules, with skills in industrial design processes, sketching, ideation, CAD, prototyping, design for manufacture, and a strong understanding of innovation and sustainability in design.
