The Estates and Facilities Management team are looking for a full time Advanced Electrical Technician Park Lead to join the technical response team, where you will work on the Loughborough University’s East Midlands Campus. You will be responsible for the delivery of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of the mechanical services across the site. The role is key to maintaining University functions and will assist the Mechanical Services Manager in leading a team of operational maintenance technicians focusing upon critical, essential, non-essential and asset operational maintenance.

You will work with a large team of Plumbers and Maintenance Operatives to help ensure all PPM programmes, both planned and reactive works are delivered to budget and on time. Our wider maintenance team is multiskilled and you will work alongside Electricians, Joiners and Painters. Jobs can be varied and will be delivered to your tablet and mobile phone via Archibus, our online work allocation tool. You will be expected to manage your own workload via this app, while working alongside the team.

You will conduct risk assessments in line with your duties and ensure you follow all Health and Safety Training and policies and procedures to keep all those who work and live on the campus safe. In this role, you will be completing works for students, staff, Academics, Visitors and Tenants across the campus and our team are looking for a polite, friendly and enthusiastic individual, to step into this role and help to deliver our excellent maintenance team service. We are team players at Loughborough and are looking for an individual that shares the same work ethic.

Key Requirements:

  • Substantial experience of delivering maintenance services on a large customer-based location.
  • Experience of working on centralised boiler plant and CHP systems.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering and building schematic drawings.
  • Experienced in compiling job plans, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Be computer literate, able to read and work with installation drawings, MS Excel, MS Word.
