Loughborough College is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Web Developer. A self-starter with a genuine passion for web development, learning new skills, and thriving in a small team environment. The Web team works within the wider Marketing and Communications team to design and develop engaging websites, e-communications, and web-based applications to support the college's marketing and student recruitment efforts. Additionally, the team develops internal websites, applications, and services to streamline college processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team of developers. You will be involved in all project stages, from conception and planning to development, testing, and deployment, enabling you to shape and deliver innovative solutions.
Key skills required include knowledge of both front-end and server-side technologies, such as:
- HTML5
- CSS / SCSS
- JavaScript (e.g., Vanilla / Svelte)
- Server-side languages (PHP, Node.js, .NET)
Experience or knowledge of the following is advantageous:
- Content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal)
- Version control (GIT)
- SQL databases (MySQL / MSSQL)
- Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
