We have an exciting opportunity for a Sessional Elite Sport Assessor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College. We are seeking highly committed and motivated assessors to join the Elite Sport programme area. You will be required to assess and tutor elite sport learners, most notably as part of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence programme.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- To act as an assessor for groups or individual students on a range of programmes ensuring that practical and written work is assessed in line with awarding organisation and college requirements.
- To closely monitor the welfare of all students and act in accordance with safeguarding policies where required.
- To deliver classroom-based workshops or portfolio building.
- To undertake appropriate staff development and training, including the maintenance and updating of specialist skills across approximately 4 training days per year.
What we are looking for:
- As an assessor, it is essential to have experience of elite sport and a relevant degree.
- Possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Possess an assessors/verifiers qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Have experience in elite sport.
- Willing to travel as and when it is required.
