We have an exciting opportunity for a workshop supervisor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College. Working in this role you will support the delivery of teaching and learning within the workshop environment, ensuring that resources, supplies, tools and equipment are effectively and safely managed and maintained. You will have a passion for innovation, bringing new ideas and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are available and maintained.
  • Lead on health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and safe storage of hazardous substances.
  • Support teaching staff by preparing resources, assisting with practical demonstrations, and supervising students during workshop activities.
  • Monitor stock levels, order replacements, and manage budgets effectively.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness, security, and readiness for practical training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop facilities and processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Good organisational and time management skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear guidance to students and collaborate with teaching staff.
  • Possess qualifications in Maths and English Levels 4-9 (GCSE Grades A-C) or equivalent.
