We are seeking to appoint an NFL Academy Linebacker Coach to provide a high-quality player development programme. This role will include working within a multi-disciplinary team and working with players for a range of on and off-field activity. The role also includes preparing for, and attending, a range of fixtures, both in the UK and overseas and working with players to develop their onward recruitment pathway.
Responsibilities
- To coach all student-athletes at the Linebacker position in the Academy to a high standard.
- On-site coaching in games and practices, including organisation and implementation of daily practices.
- Collaborate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team of Performance Support, Academic and Welfare staff across all aspects of the Academy.
- Support student-athletes in their recruitment process to advance to higher education institutions with the awareness of NFL Academy KPI’s.

About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a NFL Academy Linebacker Coach to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College. The NFL Academy is a major global initiative by the NFL, offering talented student-athletes the opportunity to combine full-time education alongside intensive training in American Football, under the guidance of world-class coaching staff. In partnership with Loughborough College (US High School equivalent), and Loughborough University, our Elite Football Development Programme enrols student-athletes aged 16-18 years from around the world. The NFL Academy integrates academic excellence, character development and top-tier American Football training, to create pathways for young athletes aiming to secure scholarships to advance within the sport.
Achievements
Since its launch in the 2019-20 academic year, the NFL Academy has successfully placed over 50 student-athletes into NCAA programmes, including 35 signees over the 2023-2025 signing periods.
