We have an exciting opportunity for two individuals to join our team as Lecturers in Motor Vehicle at Stephenson College, part of Loughborough College Group. We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to join our dynamic automotive team. Whether you’re currently working in a workshop, specialising in diagnostics, or exploring electric vehicle technologies, this is your opportunity to share your expertise and shape the future of the industry.
You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across our Motor Vehicle provision, including study programmes and future apprenticeship pathways. Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons that cover a broad range of engineering skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
- Supporting the development of our curriculum, particularly in emerging areas like vehicle electrification and alternative fuels.
- Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve our automotive offering and exceed learner and employer expectations.
We are looking for someone who:
- Possesses a degree in a relevant subject area (or equivalent).
- Has experience of designing and delivering vocational/academic programmes to learners.
- Able to demonstrate excellent planning, administration & organisational skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively in a small cross-curricular team. You will possess excellent planning and administration skills and be able to work to deadlines. Relevant automotive industry experience is essential, and a teaching qualification is desirable. If you’re new to teaching, we’ll support your transition into education with tailored training and mentoring.
