We have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Head of Construction & Trade to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College. The Curriculum Head for Construction and Trades provides strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of vocational programmes, ensuring that teaching, learning and assessment meet industry standards and employer expectations. The role drives learner achievement, strengthens employer partnerships, and ensures the curriculum remains responsive to developments in the construction and trades sector.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading the planning, delivery and quality assurance of Construction and Trades programmes to ensure high-quality, industry-aligned provision.
- Driving learner progress, achievement and progression into apprenticeships, employment or further study.
- Working closely with employers, industry bodies and stakeholders to maintain strong partnerships and shape curriculum development.
- Managing staff performance, professional development and resource allocation to support effective and safe delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofsted, awarding bodies) and contributing to robust self-assessment and improvement planning.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience in the Construction and Trades sector, with a proven track record in curriculum leadership or programme management.
- Up-to-date industry knowledge, including awareness of current standards and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills, with experience working alongside employers and industry partners.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, health and safety requirements, and vocational education frameworks.
