We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College on a Fixed‑Term basis till January 2027 (approx.). This role offers the chance to work in a busy, vibrant college canteen, helping to deliver a positive dining experience for students and staff. You will also support internal catering, stock rotation, and maintain cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
- Offer a friendly, welcoming face during food service in the box office or campus kitchen.
- Communicate with chefs regarding allergen and ingredient information prior to food service.
- Ensure displays are full and well presented at all times, ensuring efficient stock rotation.
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a café or other commercial catering outlet.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised, calm, with great interpersonal skills.
- Positive can‑do attitude to work.
Term‑Time Only
This role is a term‑time‑only position, working 36 weeks throughout the year, following FE/HE term times (Term Dates).
