Loughborough College is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Lecturer in Sports Management to join our forward-thinking Higher Education Sport Team. Responsibilities of this role include:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of undergraduate modules in Sports Management.
- Support students in developing industry-ready skills through real-world projects, case studies, and applied learning.
- Develop and assess student learning through innovative teaching practices and applied learning strategies.
- Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of our Sports Management curriculum.
- Provide academic support to students, promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Build and maintain industry links to enhance student experience and employability opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
- A master’s degree (MSc) in Sports Management or a closely related discipline (e.g. Sport Business, Sport Marketing).
- Demonstrable experience in an applied sports industry setting (e.g. professional clubs, governing bodies, event management, sport marketing).
- A passion for education and the ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for education.
Desirable:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of teaching in higher education and designing/assessing academic content.
- An active interest in research or industry engagement within the field of management.
