We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Loughborough College Group on a part-time, term-time only basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, vibrant college canteen, helping to deliver a positive dining experience for our students and staff. You will also support with internal catering, stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- To work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient business operations
- Offer a friendly welcoming face during food service in the box office or campus kitchen
- Communicate with chefs regarding allergen and ingredient information prior to food service
- To ensure displays are full and well presented at all times ensuring efficient stock rotation
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working in a café or other commercial catering outlet
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised, calm, with great interpersonal skills
- Possess a positive can-do attitude to work
This role is a term time only role working 36 weeks throughout the year and follows FE/HE term times.
