Do you want to help shape the way young people are educated in trade skills? The Electrical Installation team are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to help budding Electricians begin their journey. As a member of our dedicated delivery team, you will be involved in teaching, assessing, producing innovative content, and supporting future developments on a range of programmes such as the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation and the T‑Level in Construction (Electrical Installation). Depending on your skill set, a range of different working patterns and options are available, including full‑time, part‑time and sessional.
Teaching Responsibilities
- You will deliver and assess at least one of the following components:
- Theoretical side of the qualifications (e.g. electrical science and principles, electrical installation planning, preparing and designing)
- Trade practical skills
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation
- Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Technical
- AM2 Electrical Installation
- BS 7671 2018 (18th Edition)
- Inspection and Testing
- Electrical Vehicle (EV)
- Higher level qualification in Electrical Engineering
We would consider other relevant qualifications from the sector. To be successful in this post, you will need to demonstrate good planning, a commitment to delivering high‑quality learning experiences, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams and autonomously. A relevant qualification or significant practical experience is required. Teaching and/or mentoring experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidates.
