Responsibilities:

  • Support learners through their programme and the specific qualification aims within the course.
  • Write schemes of work, lesson and review plans.
  • Be flexible in the delivery of education and training.
  • Ensure completion of portfolios, coursework, own work and all other programme-related student outputs within the scheduled scheme.
  • Deliver across the full range of the department's provision.
  • Bring new ideas and embed new technologies into the learning environment.
  • Use effective teaching and learning techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum of a level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant area.
  • Possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Experience of designing and delivering vocational or academic programmes to students and/or learners.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve excellent results.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience and knowledge of dog grooming desirable.
