We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Construction at Stephenson College, part of Loughborough College Group.
The role is responsible for education and training for construction and building services curriculum areas for students aged 16‑19, including Professional Construction, Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Multi‑trade, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, challenging and inspiring learning experiences.
- Lead and devise appropriate assessments, and develop plans to secure a curriculum portfolio that is responsive to local needs, college priorities and national priorities.
- Manage line responsibilities and programme delivery, ensuring effective team performance and timely outputs.
- Analyse performance data and use FE data reporting systems to inform quality improvement and implement the team's key performance indicators.
- Maintain an adaptive approach to the ever‑changing FE landscape, motivating and inspiring staff and students alike.
Qualifications & Experience
- Highly organised and motivated with strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven track record of line management and programme management.
- Strong analytic, digital and knowledge of FE data reporting systems.
- Ability to proactively adapt to changing educational contexts.
- Experience in delivering curriculum to students aged 16‑19 within construction and building services.
