We have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Care Technician to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. In this role you will maintain high standards of animal husbandry, support the curriculum needs of the Animal Care department and interact with students on a practical basis.
Responsibilities
- Routine care and management of college animal care livestock
- Maintain a clean and efficient working environment in the Animal Care Unit
- Liaise with appropriate vocational areas to plan supervision and assessment of students
- Carry out health and safety and risk assessments in accordance with college procedures and practices
- Able to assist in the development of safe systems for practical activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Animal Care or equivalent
- Recent experience of working in the industry
- Experience caring for a range of animals
