We are seeking an enthusiastic Waking Night Accommodation Support Officer to play a vital role in supporting students aged 16-19 living in our halls of residence. In this role, you will:
- Provide welfare, safety and practical support to our student residents
- Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the night
- Build positive relationships with young people and offer guidance when needed
- Respond to wellbeing concerns and incidents calmly and professionally
- Build rapport with residents, parents/carers, and College staff
- Support the compliance of all aspects of Health and Safety within our accommodation
This is an out-of-hours role, working as part of a 24/7 team on a flexible rota that includes weekends and bank holidays. We offer a variety of working patterns to suit different lifestyles.
Waking Nights: 4 nights a week across 7 days, exact days to be discussed at interview.
2 nights: 22:00 - 08:30
2 nights: 22:15 - 08:15
Must be available to work times listed above. This is a waking night role. This will be predominately based at Brooksby College during term time; however, some flexibility will be required to work occasional shifts at Loughborough College Accommodation to ensure both sites have adequate 24-hour staffing. During school holiday periods, shifts will be at Loughborough College Accommodation.
Applicants should be over 18 years of age, have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English e.g. GCSE grades A-C and will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check and participate in induction training prior to shift allocation. Please note that no accommodation is provided with this role.
