We have an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry and Joinery Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College. Join our team in a hands-on workshop role where you'll support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensure the Health and Safety of students in the use of equipment, tools and resources required to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Review, monitor and complete annual risk assessments associated with the workshop environment, including COSHH.
- Organise safe systems for storage of material and equipment and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient materials are available for practical lessons delivered in the workshop and support the department when apprentices are undertaking their end point assessments.
What we are looking for:
- Possess a Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant construction subject area (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, multi-trade).
- Have recent experience in the relevant industry.
- Have knowledge of the sector.
- Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines.
