We have an exciting opportunity for a Sessional Lecturer in Performing Arts to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Ignite College in Melton. We are looking for Sessional Lecturers in Performing Arts with the ability to deliver specialist performance-based skills with our students. These could include teaching singing, dance specialisms and musical theatre performance skills. You will be required to plan, prepare and deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences in your specialism, to help students develop practical skills and achieve their qualifications.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • To deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences
  • To lead and devise appropriate assessments and assessment strategies and feedback to students through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods
  • To lead and collaborate with staff in the development of excellent learning materials and programmes of study utilising a range of media

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant qualification
  • Significant practical experience is required
  • Teaching and/or mentoring experience is desirable, but we are happy to consider candidates from industry with significant practical experience who are looking to get into teaching
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of their performance specialism
  • Ability to plan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners in the teaching of their specialism
