We have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Care Technician to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. Working in this role, you will maintain a high standard of animal husbandry and contribute to the curriculum needs of the Animal Care department. You will work alongside a team of hard-working and dedicated unit staff, including interaction with students on a practical basis. This job requires applicants with broad animal experience and offers the chance to support the growth and development of the College's practical Animal Care facilities.

Responsibilities- Routine care and management of college animal care livestock
- Maintain a clean and efficient working environment in the Animal Care Unit
- Liaise with appropriate vocational areas to plan supervision and assessment of students
- Carry out health and safety and risk assessments in accordance with college procedures and practices
- Have a Level 3 qualification in Animal Care or equivalent
- Recent experience of working in the industry
- Able to assist in the development of safe systems for practical activities
- Experience of caring for a range of animals
