We have an exciting opportunity for a Progress Tutor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College on a term-time only basis. The Progress Tutor provides academic, pastoral and progression support to a caseload of students across vocational programmes, helping them to engage, achieve and progress successfully through their college journey.

Working closely with learners and staff, the role monitors student progress, promotes wellbeing and attendance, and delivers targeted interventions to support positive outcomes and progression into further study, apprenticeships or employment.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • To support a caseload of students on a variety of vocational programmes
  • To support College attendance, retention and achievement strategies by providing a high-quality pro-active student support service
  • Work closely with Course Leaders to ensure regular updates on student progress
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging and enriching group tutorials across College

What we are looking for:

  • Possess a minimum of a level 3 qualification in education (or a relevant subject)
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with students and student groups
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Be able to develop and organise group work and intervention strategies
  • Have experience of working with young people aged 16-19

This role is a term time only role, working 38 weeks throughout the year and follows FE/HE term times. We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements and agile working where the business allows.

The successful candidate will be employed by The Leicestershire College, a subsidiary company of Loughborough College. Please note that employees of the Leicestershire College are based at one of the campuses of Loughborough College Group.
