We’re recruiting for a Lecturer in HGV Maintenance and Repair to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College.

As a Lecturer in HGV Maintenance and Repair you will inspire HGV apprentices from across the country by delivering and sharing your industry‑leading skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours.

The successful candidate will be required to produce high quality and challenging learning experiences and deliver engaging training through a blend of classroom teaching and digital learning.

Occasional workplace visits and delivery may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and digital instruction for HGV maintenance and repair courses.
  • Design and develop curriculum that integrates employer needs.
  • Provide assessment and support to HGV apprentices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to enhance learning.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HGV technologies.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Experience working with apprentices in an educational or industry setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of embedding employer needs into curriculum delivery.
