Accommodation Support Officer (Evenings and Weekends) – Brooksby College

We are recruiting an enthusiastic team of Accommodation Support Officers to provide welfare, safety and practical support to students aged 16 to 18 in our 104 bed halls of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide welfare, safety and wellbeing support to students.
• Securely manage the shift environment and liaise with student residents.
• Organise events and ensure all facilities operate effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and report incidents.

Qualifications and requirements

• Over 18 years of age.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English (e.g. GCSE grades A‑C).
• Experience working with young people and knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS check (required).
• Willingness to work flexible rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Working patterns

• Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday: 07:30 – 23:00 (various shifts)
• Monday to Friday evenings: 17:00 – 23:00
• Flexible rota – routinely available and willing to cover other shifts.
