We’re seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning Technologist to join our Digital Learning Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with emerging technologies such as AI, AR, VR and other digital tools to shape the future of learning across Further and Higher Education.
You’ll play a key role in supporting staff and students, ensuring that digital learning sits at the heart of our curriculum and enhances the learner experience.
What you will do
- Support the development and delivery of high‑quality distance, blended and online learning.
- Provide expert advice on digital pedagogies, technologies, and emerging innovations.
- Deliver engaging synchronous training and develop asynchronous resources for staff and students.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams to embed digital learning into teaching practice.
- Design learning materials using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Creative Suite.
- Evaluate new digital technologies and recommend solutions that improve teaching and learning.
- Promote and maintain the Digital Learning brand across the College.
- Provide support and troubleshooting through our Digital Learning ticketing system.
About you
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with strong IT/technology qualifications.
- Experienced in using learning technologies to support curriculum delivery and staff development.
- Skilled in developing digital learning content using rapid development tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate).
- Confident in delivering training and supporting staff in adopting new digital pedagogies.
- Knowledgeable in multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- An excellent communicator, organised, and proactive in problem‑solving.
