Food Service Assistant at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College on a Fixed‑Term basis until January 2027 (approx.). The role involves working in a busy, vibrant college canteen to deliver a positive dining experience for students and staff.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting internal catering, stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
  • Offering a friendly welcoming face during food service in the box office or campus kitchen.
  • Communicating with chefs regarding allergen and ingredient information prior to food service.
  • Ensuring displays are full and well presented at all times, ensuring efficient stock rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in a café or other commercial catering outlet.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised, calm, with great interpersonal skills.
  • Positive can‑do attitude to work.

Terms:

This is a term‑time only role working 36 weeks throughout the year and follows FE/HE term times.
