We’re looking for someone to join our team as an Accommodation Officer — Waking Nights. Loughborough College Group is proud to champion a diverse and inclusive community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide welfare, safety and practical support to our student residents.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the night.
  • Build positive relationships with young people and offer guidance when needed.
  • Respond to wellbeing concerns and incidents calmly and professionally.
  • Build rapport with residents, parents/carers, and College staff.
  • Support the compliance of all aspects of Health and Safety within our accommodation.

Working Hours and Pattern

  • 2 nights: 22:00 – 08:30
  • 2 nights: 22:15 – 08:15
  • Waking Nights: 4 nights a week across 7 days, exact days to be discussed at interview.

Availability

Must be available to work the times listed above. This is a waking night role.

Location

Primarily at Brooksby College during term time. Flexibility required for occasional shifts at Loughborough College Accommodation and during school holiday periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants must be over 18 years old.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English (e.g. GCSE grades A–C).
  • Enhanced DBS check required; participation in induction training prior to shift allocation.
  • Right to work in the country without the need for sponsorship; skilled worker sponsorship not available.
  • No accommodation is provided with this role.
