Lough Erne Resort is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping department. This role plays a key part in delivering an outstanding guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency across the resort, while inspiring and managing a large, diverse team.
The role of the Executive Housekeeper includes:
- Supervising all housekeeping employees, recruitment, planning and assigning work assignments, providing training for newly recruited employees, auditing and inspecting housekeeping teams' performance, and requisitioning supplies.
- Managing the department budget and budget controlling for the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning the work for the housekeeping department and distributing assignments accordingly.
- Assigning regular duties and special duties for the housekeeping staff.
- Scheduling employees and assigning extra days off according to occupancy forecast.
- Maintaining a time logbook of all employees within the department.
- Recruiting and training new employees, assigning them to work with experienced help, and checking on their work occasionally.
- Maintaining a lost-and-found department and being responsible for all lost-and-found items.
- Determining the rightful owner of lost items and sending correspondences.
Responsibility & Authority:
- Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire Resort.
- Ensuring that rooms are made as per company standard.
- Preparing the Annual Housekeeping Budget.
- Maintaining stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniform.
- Organising inventories with Accounts and General Store for linen, uniform, and fixed assets.
- Developing and implementing Housekeeping systems and procedures.
- Preparing reports for management information.
- Assisting the Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.
- Attending to and resolving guest complaints.
- Organising on-the-job training and evaluating its effectiveness.
- Approval of the SOP of the department.
- Actively recruiting new Team Members.
- Serving as Duty Manager when rotated.
- Conducting daily inspections of public areas and employee areas.
- Holding daily briefings of Supervisors.
- Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public areas with the maintenance department.
- Immediately attending to guest requests.

- Strong leadership abilities and organisational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to think outside the box and drive change.
- Able to look for operational efficiencies/synergies across the network.
