Responsibilities include:

  1. People Management: Provide leadership, supervision, appraisal support, and coordinate activities of junior and admin staff. Support student placements and participate in training.
  2. Clinical Practice: Plan and lead treatments, health education groups, and educate service users and carers about deficits affecting safety and independence.
  3. Resource Management: Assess and prescribe equipment, recommend adaptations, and ensure proper use and commissioning of equipment.
  4. Administrative Duties: Maintain professional standards, manage caseloads, document activities accurately, and communicate with external agencies.
  5. Service User Care: Respect diversity, provide education, conduct assessments, and facilitate discharge planning and follow-up services.
  6. Policy and Service Development: Lead projects, participate in audits, research, and contribute to service improvements.
  7. Other Responsibilities: Act as an ambassador, attend meetings, adhere to guidelines, and maintain CPD portfolio.
  8. Communication Skills: Proficient in written and spoken English; effective in face-to-face, email, phone, and group communications; work collaboratively with health and social care colleagues.
