The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Up to 37.5 hours per week. You will deliver a high quality comprehensive mental health service within the Early Intervention for Psychosis team. Insight is a team that has been undergoing development and an exciting opportunity to be part of this growth has come up. Insight provides well rounded care following the Early Intervention for Psychosis standards. We offer those experiencing first episode psychosis a 3 year service and within the 3 years we aspire to offer a well rounded goals based care approach with the involvement of our clients throughout the journey.

  • CBT for Psychosis
  • Employment support
  • Psychology
  • Carers Group
  • Coffee Group
  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy
  • Psychoeducation Group for friends, family & carers
  • Care coordination working with outside agencies/teams to ensure effective well rounded care
  • Peer support is part of the model and we are working hard to develop this area

Insight is a multi disciplinary team that welcomes passionate individuals who are recovery focused and are willing to work in a trauma informed approach to those experiencing first episode Psychosis.

Responsibilities

The role involves managing a defined caseload of 15 with a focus on providing expert assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health difficulties, primary diagnosis first episode psychosis and also working with their carers who support this client group. This will include recovery co-ordination (design and co-ordination of treatment packages). You will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other members and participating in team/service development and evaluation. Communication is key; work relations, openness to feedback and giving feedback in a productive and open-minded approach. Clinical and non-clinical skills include Analytical/Judgement, Planning/Organisational, and responsibility areas across patient care, policy development, finance/equipment, human resources and information resources/administrative duties as outlined in the original text. Travel to engage with people in their own residence or hospital settings whilst planning discharge. Sit for prolonged periods to compile complex reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Established and relevant mental health experience; experience managing a large and complex caseload; work in a community mental health setting; clinical supervision for staff; experience in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment; knowledge of health legislation, CPA and risk assessment/management; strong written and verbal communication; ability to assess, plan and evaluate nursing interventions; commitment to professional boundaries; ability to plan creatively to maximise effectiveness of care plans; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong self-management and prioritisation; leadership and capability to oversee a clinical caseload; knowledge of medications and their side effects.

Desirable: Understanding of recovery principles and evidence-base application in practice; training in HCR-20 risk assessment or willingness to undertake; ongoing CPD commitment.

Experience: Essential items include established mental health experience, managing a complex caseload, community MH setting, clinical supervision, MDT collaboration, governance awareness, HR policy application.
