Nursing Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care within scope and delegate tasks to support workers.
• Supervise and line‑manage band 2/3 staff, provide training and professional development.
• Adhere to local, national guidelines, legislation and NMC Code (2018), ensuring revalidation requirements are met.
• Use electronic records (eRecord) for accurate documentation and communication.
• Conduct assessments, develop and evaluate individual care plans, and administer medication within scope of practice.
• Participate in audits, service reviews and operation policies to improve quality and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality, information governance and practice good public health and community engagement.
• Address safeguarding, risk management and mental capacity matters appropriately.
• Report and handover to MDT, participate in team meetings, and support patient advocacy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Registered Nursing Associate (or equivalent training) with competence in delegated clinical skills.
• Strong inter‑personal skills, capacity for empathy and teamwork.
• Effective time management, organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to use and maintain electronic patient records and administer medication.
• Experience in supervising and training junior staff is desirable.
