Responsibilities
- Manage patient care within scope and delegate tasks to support workers.
- Supervise and line‑manage band 2/3 staff, provide training and professional development.
- Adhere to local, national guidelines, legislation and NMC Code (2018), ensuring revalidation requirements are met.
- Use electronic records (eRecord) for accurate documentation and communication.
- Conduct assessments, develop and evaluate individual care plans, and administer medication within scope of practice.
- Participate in audits, service reviews and operation policies to improve quality and safety.
- Maintain confidentiality, information governance and practice good public health and community engagement.
- Address safeguarding, risk management and mental capacity matters appropriately.
- Report and handover to MDT, participate in team meetings, and support patient advocacy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Nursing Associate (or equivalent training) with competence in delegated clinical skills.
- Strong inter‑personal skills, capacity for empathy and teamwork.
- Effective time management, organisational and documentation skills.
- Ability to use and maintain electronic patient records and administer medication.
- Experience in supervising and training junior staff is desirable.
