As the Commercial Roaming Manager, you will be an instrumental part of our team, responsible for identifying, negotiating and managing numerous commercial roaming agreements with mobile operators, MVNOs and roaming aggregators.
Responsibilities:- Strategic Partner Management: Continuously assess Nomad’s business needs (Consumer and Enterprise) from a data consumption and telecom capability perspective and manage our partner mix to contribute towards achieving our future growth objectives.
- On-going Partner and Project Management: Maintain relationships with existing roaming service providers and work with them to improve their pricing and product offerings for Nomad. Manage onboarding of new roaming providers; coordinating with engineering, marketing and pricing to ensure timely launch of new rates. Contribute to RFP responses for enterprise clients.
- Negotiate and manage contracts: Work with Nomad’s finance team to evaluate and negotiate pricing agreements with mobile operators. Once pricing is agreed, manage the contract review, negotiation and signature phases in conjunction with Nomad’s commercial and legal management.
- Cost Analysis: Evaluate new pricing proposals from existing and prospective partners to determine the optimal partner mix for Nomad. Analyze gaps in our current retail as well as wholesale pricing and identify partners who could close those gaps. Review and validate partner invoices to ensure compliance with agreed rates.
- New Partner Outreach: Contact prospective roaming partners and respond to inbound roaming partner queries. Evaluate new partners and make recommendations to management on which partners to select.
- Performance: Cost optimization, roaming partner selection, management of existing roaming partner’s performance.
- Large network of relationships with MNOs or MVNOs in the Americas
- Proven track record of 6-10 years working in international roaming for a mobile operator or eSIM supplier
- Strong understanding of roaming products, wholesale agreement standards, economics and suppliers
- High degree of familiarity with GSMA groups and InfoCentre
- Excellent Excel skills, including business cases, formulas, pivot tables
- Fluent English communication, and excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with eSIM standards and eSIM technology a strong plus
- Digitally savvy and growth mindset
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven individual
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field
