This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company and to put your entrepreneurial skills to the test. As the Demand Planner, you will:

  • Collect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand.
  • Analyse sales, stock and other data statistics.
  • Review historical sales trends.
  • Model the data to forecast future demand.
  • Obtain information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays.
  • Gather updates on vendors, distributors, sales and other stakeholders that can affect demand.
  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances.
  • Interact with sales, marketing and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Use and maintain the demand planning software.
  • Provide input to the supply planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs.
  • Refine systems and methods to improve forecasts in order to better anticipate customer needs.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, as well as high-level exposure to forecasting tools.
  • Experience: 2 years’ experience, preferably in FMCG or retail industries.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A friendly, proactive and positive attitude, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Organization Skills: Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
