Working as part of the Category Development team and closely with the Head of Category, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing ongoing understanding of what is driving both our brands and the competition using Nielson/Circana, Dunnhumby, and Nectar 360 category data.
- Making recommendations on range, fixture, price, and promotion to help unlock future sales growth.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key buyers and merchandising contacts.
- Providing analysis and insight for the commercial teams to take directly to retailers.
- Sharing monthly reporting to ensure everyone internally understands the category and to enable strategic decisions based on the data.
This role requires you to work closely with the relevant commercial manager for your customer accounts and cross-functionally with the brand and shopper marketing teams. The most important qualities we’re looking for are:
- Experience in data analysis, with the ability to tell the story behind the numbers.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in presentation and story-telling.
- Ability to build and develop great relationships as a trusted expert.
- Outcome focused and results driven.
- Able to prioritise quickly in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute to team efforts.
You will need experience using data providers such as Iri, Kantar, Dunnhumby Shop, and/or Nectar 360 SIP, and ideally have a background in FMCG Category Management or Insights.
