This role is responsible for the end-to-end management and strategic optimisation of the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) network. It ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely distribution of vehicles from production plants and ports to dealerships and end customers across the European and UK markets. The manager will lead a team and work with carriers to ensure operational excellence, uphold the highest standards of vehicle quality and damage prevention, and drive continuous improvement in a complex, multi-modal logistics environment.
What you'll do:
- Setting up new and used vehicle logistics in Europe
- Transport vehicles from compounds to retail partners and between retail partners
- Determination of compound and PDI strategy, including 3rd party service provider negotiations and management
- Good understanding of customs clearing procedures
- Managing used- and new car stock levels and assuring correct stock availability per country
- Controlling stock actuality together with sales
