Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. We are looking for a Product Marketing Intern in the Group Marketing Department to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry. This is a 3 month FTC. Hours can be from 20 hours - 28 per week, days/times can be discussed.

Summary

Assist the product marketing team with the launch and product positioning of new hybrid vehicles and sports cars across the UK and European markets. Take an in-depth part in overseas vehicle marketing projects, collaborate cross-functionally with sales, PR, design and engineering teams. Responsible for product messaging arrangement, competitor analysis and marketing material creation, gaining immersive experience in the full workflow of global marketing for luxury automotive brands.

What you’ll do

  • Market & Competitor Research
    • Research market trends, customer profiles, pricing systems and relevant regulations in the UK and European luxury automobile markets.
    • Benchmark specifications, configurations, selling points and market performance of competing models, and regularly update comparison documents.
    • Compile user research feedback to support product positioning optimization.
  • Vehicle Launch Marketing Support
    • Lead support work for the launch of two new models in Europe this year.
    • Develop retail sales dashboards, brochures, specification sheets, presentation slides and other offline materials.
    • Adapt global product content into localized promotional statements in line with brand guidelines.
    • Assist preparations for auto shows, media test drives, retailer training and customer experience events.
  • Marketing Material Production & Management
    • Create vehicle specification tables, feature guides, FAQs, graphic and short video promotional content.
    • File and manage vehicle images, videos and technical documents with strict version control.
    • Assist in drafting articles, press releases and internal newsletters.
  • Cross-department Collaboration & Daily Administration
    • Liaise with sales, PR and R&D teams to synchronize latest product updates and follow up launch schedules.
    • Compile meeting documents, minutes and action items.
    • Complete routine administrative support tasks for the team.

What you’ll bring

  • Educational Background
    • Current undergraduate or postgraduate student majoring in Marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Media Communication or related disciplines. Placement year students are preferred.
    • Passionate about luxury and new energy vehicles; relevant internship or project experience is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Lotus brand and Eletre series is highly desirable.
  • Professional Competencies
    • Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing. Native or professional proficiency in Mandarin is highly required to facilitate seamless, daily collaboration and reporting with our China-based HQ teams.
    • Proficiency in German, French or other European languages is advantageous.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic skills in design and video editing are preferred.
    • Meticulous and rigorous, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Possess analytical thinking and the ability to summarize market insights.

    • Recognize Lotus core concepts including lightweight design, ultimate performance and innovative vehicle manufacturing.
    • Deep understanding of Chinese corporate culture and communication styles; ability to act as an effective cross‑cultural bridge between European regional functions and domestic teams.

    • Strictly keep confidential sensitive product information with sound professional ethics.
    • Keen to learn automotive technology and high‑end brand marketing.
